Environmental Health

What can your environmental department do for you? This department is responsible for protecting the health of Floyd County citizens through monitoring and surveillance of the environment that we serve. This is done by inspections, surveys, and/or investigations. Some of the programs the environmental department is involved in enforcing are: mobile home park inspections, public swimming pool inspections, on-site sewage system inspection, food inspections, school building and ground inspections, and rabies control.
