Sharp Disposal

The Martin County Health Department is currently unable to accept sharps or needles from the public for disposal due to specific regulatory and safety protocols that govern the handling of medical waste. This policy ensures the safety of both our staff and the community. Disposing of sharps and needles requires specialized procedures and equipment to prevent injury and contamination, which our facility is not equipped to handle. We encourage residents to utilize approved sharps disposal programs or facilities specifically designed for this purpose.
